Our business studies courses are designed to give you the practical skills you need to perform a variety of business functions. The Certificate III introduces students to a range of administrative duties. The bookkeeping qualification provides you with the skills to operate in small to medium sized business and use software to manage day-to-day finances. The diploma builds on existing business experience to develop management skills across a range of areas.

BSB50215 - Diploma of Business

This twelve month program is designed to give you knowledge and skills in Business practices. This course is offered full-time and part-time. The Diploma of Business has been developed to ensure you graduate job ready, with the core business knowledge and skills required to move into management roles in large organisations or become an entrepreneur and launch your own business. This course will teach you how to research, analyse and interpret the domestic and international business environments. Critical thinking skills are used to create strategic business and marketing plans and identify strategic business opportunities. Graduates of the Diploma of Business will be confident and job ready with the knowledge and skills to secure entry to mid-level business support or management roles in a small to large organisations, or will have the core business skills and support to start their own business. This qualification would apply to individuals with various job titles including executive officers, program consultants and program coordinators. Individuals in these roles may possess substantial experience in a range of settings, but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions.

This six month program is designed to give you knowledge and skills in Business practices. If you are looking to re-enter the work force or want a career change, this qualification will give you the knowledge and practical skills to work within any office environment. This qualification provides a well-rounded balance of skills that will assist you in becoming an invaluable team member to a wide range of businesses. You'll learn how to perform introductory-level office administration tasks including using relevant Microsoft Office software, to create business and desktop published documents, worksheets and spreadsheets. Build your administration confidence with this business course! Master Microsoft Office 2010 programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, electronic presentations, desktop publishing and email. This course is offered full-time and part-time. This qualification applies to a range of administrative roles in varied contexts. Individuals in these positions use some discretion and judgement and may provide technical advice and support to a team.

FNS40215 - Certificate IV in Bookkeeping

This qualification is designed to reflect the job roles of contract bookkeepers and employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries.

A Business Activity Statement (BAS) service is a tax agent service that includes, but is not limited to, the following:
preparing or lodging an approved form about a taxpayer's liabilities, obligations or entitlements under a BAS provision; giving a taxpayer advice about a BAS provision that the taxpayer can reasonably be expected to rely upon to satisfy their taxation obligations; or dealing with the Commissioner on behalf of a taxpayer in relation to a BAS provision.

Persons providing a BAS service must be registered by the Tax Practitioner's Board and this qualification is currently cited as meeting the educational requirements for registration. Other conditions apply including a designated period of experience. Persons seeking BAS agent registration should check current registration requirements with the Board as this is regularly reviewed.
